• Health & Safety Manager for Aalborg Portland A/S

We are looking for an experienced and engaged Health & Safety Manager for our Cement Plant in Aalborg. If you thrive in the heart of the production facilities and have a genuine passion for fostering a safe workplace though open dialogue and close collaboration, then we want to hear from you. 

You will oversee all facilities within Aalborg Portland, including the plant, quarry, harbor, terminals and office locations. 

You will lead a department consisting of two employees and report directly to the Plant Director with a functional reporting line to our HSE Manager. You will also work closely with our Logistics Director, who oversees the harbor and terminals. 

Assignments 
In this role, your primary assignment will be, in close collaboration with the work environment organization and the production, to plan, risk assess and set clear guidelines for how to carry out the work both in daily operation plus during larger maintenance assignments. 

Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Preparing and implementing the required documentation and procedures related to health and Safety in compliance with Danish legislation, Cementir standards and other relevant regulations. 

  • Educating, communicating, and continuously improving our approach to creating a safe workplace. 

  • Coordinating implementation of safety measures during the planning and execution phases of larger maintenance projects in close corporation with the organization. 

  • Conducting root cause analysis of incidents, including accidents and near misses. 

  • Facilitating follow-up discussions with employees and external stakeholders to promote safety culture.   

  • Enhancing safety instructions and risk assessments to ensure their effectiveness, including those related to ongoing and future CAPEX projects. 

  • Accurately reporting safety data. 

Your Profile 
You have knowledge about ISO 45001 requirements and can proficiently investigate safety incidents using analytical tools to identify root causes and implement corrective actions. Your comprehensive understanding of Danish work environment legislation enables you to effectively apply it in daily operations. As an experienced leader, you adeptly guide your team and set the standard for safety across the organization, maintaining a visible and proactive presence in the field. 

It is an advantage if you have completed the work environment coordinator training (P/B). Additionally, having a strong sense of determination and the ability to thrive in fast-paced environments are essential qualities in this role

  • Naturally fostering and promoting a safety-oriented culture across all organizational levels. 

  • Possessing excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify trends and correlations through data analysis. 

  • Maintaining a systematic and detail-oriented approach to ensure tasks are followed through and completed on time. 

  • Exhibiting a collaborative mindset, fostering cooperation across all functions.  

  • Communicating proficiently in both Danish and English, with strong written and verbal skills.
