(Carbon Capture and Storage | Aalborg Portland Holding A/S) About the Role As a Technical Buyer, you will be essential to our procurement team. Reporting to the Procurement Manager, you will work with professionals in Denmark, Norway and Italy. You will encourage teamwork and build strong partnerships within the organization. Additionally, you will share best practices and align your style with the team's goals by involving and appreciating contributions. Your Main Responsibilities Your responsibilities will include optimizing procurement operations, contributing to cost reduction initiatives, and managing sourcing activities for technical equipment and services. You will work in close coordination with both local and regional stakeholders to support production operations and investment projects. - Lead and execute sourcing projects
- Monitor supplier performance and conduct supplier evaluations and contribute to continuous improvement
- Drive cost-saving initiatives and optimize payment terms
- Manage Investment tender processes in collaboration with key stakeholders in Production, Maintenance and Investment department
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with local and Group Procurement policies and procedures
- Collaborate with your colleagues in the Procurement team to support daily operational procurement activities.
- Manage the technical procurement of components, spare parts, equipment, and service tasks for the company’s cement process plants, based on material and technical specifications, from both domestic and international suppliers.
Your Qualifications You bring a technical education or a craft-based background, complemented by 3 to 5 years of relevant experience within technical or commercial procurement. You have a solid track record in managing technical project purchasing and are comfortable interpreting technical drawings. Your understanding of sourcing processes in a manufacturing environment is well-developed, and you are proficient in tools such as SAP, SAP Ariba, and Microsoft Office. With strong analytical capabilities and negotiation skills, you can effectively conduct cost analyses and develop procurement strategies. Additionally, you possess a professional level of English, enabling you to operate confidently in an international business environment.
