• Group Electrical & Automation Engineer

We are looking for a Group Electrical & Automation Engineer to join the Group Electrical & Automation function supporting our businesses across multiple countries. While this is a Group-level position with an international scope, your day-to-day workplace will be Aalborg Portland, where you will work closely with the Nordic & Baltic region while partnering with electrical, automation, production, and engineering teams across our Group. You will report directly to our Group Electrical and Automation Manager.

In this role, you will support the development and implementation of electrical and automation standards across our plants, contributing to both greenfield and brownfield projects as well as critical maintenance activities. You will play an important part in improving plant reliability, driving automation and digitalization initiatives, and ensuring the successful execution of Group projects across our regions.

Your responsibilities
Working closely with local and Group stakeholders, you will help strengthen our electrical and automation capabilities by:

  • Supporting electrical, automation, and digitalization projects across Group plants.
  • Standardizing electrical and automation systems while promoting best practices and benchmarking across sites.
  • Providing technical support and developing the competencies of local electrical and automation teams.
  • Optimizing automation systems and collaborating with process teams to improve plant performance.
  • Supporting energy management and efficiency initiatives across our operations.
  • Assisting with the electrical and automation scope of CAPEX projects, from defining specifications to supporting project execution.
  • Promoting safe, reliable, and efficient electrical and automation solutions throughout the Group.

About you
You are an electrical or automation engineer with experience from heavy industry who enjoys solving technical challenges while collaborating across different countries and functions. You are structured, proactive, and motivated by continuous improvement, innovation, and knowledge sharing.

You also bring:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Automation Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 3–5 years of experience within cement, mining, or other heavy process industries.
  • Strong knowledge of high-voltage systems, electrical motors, drives, and field instrumentation.
  • Hands-on experience with PLC programming (Siemens, Schneider, ABB), process control, and SCADA systems.
  • Experience with project management and troubleshooting industrial electrical and automation systems.

Fluency in English is required. The role also requires a willingness to travel internationally for up to 50% of the time to support the Group's production sites.
