Are you ready to take the next step in your engineering career? We are looking for a motivated and ambitious Project Engineer to join our Investment Department at Nordic & Baltic on a 12-month maternity cover.

This is a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience working on high-impact industrial investment projects as part of a professional and collaborative team. During the 12-month period, you will work closely with experienced Project Managers and technical specialists, gaining hands-on experience in project development, technical evaluations, and on-site implementation.

Your role
As Project Engineer, you will be part of a team responsible for planning and executing strategic investment projects across our sites. You will support the development and implementation of projects from early-stage feasibility through to execution and handover.

This position is ideal for someone with a mechanical engineering background who is eager to develop their project management skills and gain experience in an industrial environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support the planning, budgeting, and execution of industrial investment projects
• Participate in feasibility studies, technical evaluations, and risk assessments
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, technical specialists, and external suppliers
• Monitor project progress and assist in ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and budget
• Contribute to the continuous development of investment project tools and processes
• Support operational activities within the Investment Department
• Assist Project Managers with coordination and follow-up of project activities
• Support implementation and follow-up at project sites when required

What we’re looking for

• A degree in mechanical engineering or a related technical field
• 1–3 years of relevant experience, for example in project engineering, site engineering/management, maintenance, or production
• An interest in industrial plants, technical investment projects, and project management
• Strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on mindset
• Good communication skills in English; Danish is an advantage but not a requirement
• A structured and collaborative approach to your work
• Willingness to travel occasionally to our project sites if needed
